Arduino Robotics – Students will learn about all the systems needed to create a machine that is designed to perform specific tasks…power, power transmission, programming basics (variables, if and for loops, syntax, functions, etc) CPU, sensors, inputs and outputs, motors and servos and more!
Cost
DUE TO A GENEROUS DONOR, ALL CLASSES ONLY $75! That is 10 hours of STEM for $7.50 an hour
Logistics
All classes will be held in the Recreation building on the grounds of Willimantic Camp Meeting Association, 453 Windham Rd., Willimantic 06226. Students will need to be dropped off as there is no room for parents to linger. There are parks, a library, and many eateries close by in town if you need a place to wait.
Registration and Payment
We use ZEFFY for our registration and payment system. You will find the online form HERE. Once a class reaches 6 paid participants it will be removed from the list. WE HAVE HALF OFF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EVERYONE WHO SIGNS UP!
The Global STEM Partnership Parental Consent Form and Emergency Medical Release and Liability Waiver will need to be filled out for each student. It can be found HERE. You may email it to globalstempartnership@gmail.com or you may bring it with your student on the first day of camp.
Camp Sponsorship
There are many students in Willimantic who would like to attend camp but the cost is just too much for them….30% of families in this area live below the poverty line according to the latest statistics! You can make a real difference by sponsoring a child. Click HERE to donate. Thank you so much!
