GSP QUARTERLY – Summer 2026
I am just amazed at the progress we have made toward our goal of bringing STEM educational opportunities to disadvantaged populations both here in the States and abroad. I say “populations” and not just “students” because our reach is extending to adults as well as students of all ages!
I hope you will take a couple minutes to look through the various achievements we have accomplished and to REJOICE with us and all those who have been so positively impacted through our endeavors.
THREE SCHOOLS IN THE PHILIPPINES JOIN STEM AFTER SCHOOL
High Schools in Panglao, Dapitan and Baguio City have joined the growing list of schools who have started our 4-month flagship STEM After School program! At each school we pay a teacher to supervise students in the computer lab of the school as they work through more than 20 lessons in CAD, 3D Printing and Arduino Robotics. Senior students who complete the program and enroll in a local college to study a STEM field can apply for financial support. The initial cost to support the program at each school is $800 and includes the teacher stipend, a 3D printer and Arduino robotic components. Click HERE to sponsor a school!
STEM LAB IN LIBERIA NEARS COMPLETION
Our partners in Monrovia, Liberia are installing the meter for city electric – the last step in getting the lab ready for students. This is a phenomenal achievement and the Science Plus Liberia and Global STEM Partnership STEAM Lab will be the FIRST OF IT’S KIND in Monrovia! Can you believe that?! We are on the cutting edge of STEM in that developing African country and I cannot wait to see the program there soar to new heights! Already there are over 50 students in our program there with many, many more to come!
GSP has invested $4450 year to date in Liberia. We purchased a Starlink system, 10 Chromebooks with accessories, paid teacher stipends, supplied doors, windows, flooring, ceiling and electrical for the STEAM Lab and pay monthly student support and wifi charges. 3D PRINTERS PROCURED AND SENT TO BALI, LIBERIA AND PHILIPPINES!
Each school that joins our STEM After School program receives a 3D printer. Students are designing parts on CAD and watching their ideas become tangible! I can’t overstate how powerful this is in motivating and inspiring young people to pursue STEM.
We choose printers that are easy to operate, self leveling, durable and fast! They have excellent reviews and are sufficient for education and even small business applications. FALL HOME SCHOOL CLASSES SCHEDULED
This will be the 3rd year that I will be offering CAD and Robotics classes at the Griswold Youth Center for home schoolers from ages 9 to 17. These classes have a proven record of getting kids excited about engineering! 100% of the fees charged for the classes goes into the Global STEM Partnership account and is used to fulfill our mission of bringing hope to students and their families in places like Africa and the Philippines by making STEM accessible to the most disadvantaged populations.
